Unfortunately, Alabama Career Center is a waste of time especially when it comes to funding for school and their so called learning new skills. If you have a "College Degree" you will not be funded for any new skill nor training at any school accepting WIOA whatsoever! Racism and discrimination is truly a factor that has yet to be reckoned with.

I don't understand how you people say you are hiring for company jobs and you don't return phone calls. An you can't even help with unemployment. I was released from a job. But you always take the corporation side an deny. You people hender a lot of people more than you know and always want to talk down on everyone not only black but whites an Hispanics. So yall need to really check with who you have working in your office

The visit was extremely pleasant, I was able to get into the system and get the vital information I need to become a part of the program that they have with Wallace College. The staff was also very kind and kept the environment sanitary and sterile.

Never had any luck here in the past. Basically, they're like Indeed or some other job searching site, so what is even the point of having the whole organisation? Nobody does anything but tell you to look online, then some of the jobs require you to go in to fill out an application, which is stupid. You would imagine this would be like job placement, or helping you to find what you can do that's available, rather than people whose job it is to help you get a job act like you're such a burden for wanting to work and for them to have to actually do anything. Also, what's tthe point of their site? Half the jobs on there, like Indeed and Monster, aren't even real jobs! They're positions that are already filled before they're posted and are only posted because the companies aare required to advertise the position so they can claim equal opportunity employment. The very least they could do, since they're less reliable than any other website but actually have staff on payroll, is to filter that crap out so only REAL jobs actually REALLY looking for people are posted. Require companies to prove it somehow or something. Why bother when I already know how to search the web for jobs? It's like Fandango of job hunting: pay extra and waste your time to make something even more inconsistent than it already is with no added benefits.

They were very helpful in putting me into the system and trying to gain employment.I think the Vet rep system can be a little better.Seems like you have to have a disability to talk to veteran services there..

I was sitting at the computer job searching when a guy at unemployment allowed someone with a temp of 101.4 to enter so I hurried up and left. Why take a temp when they actually have one you allow them inside 🤔
