My sister and I just needed a place to sleep while on an overnight visit in Giddings. Based on review comments we decided to stay here.
This place has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my life!!
The family that runs it are obviously renovating so there are a few minor issues, but it's clean and comfortable. It is next to a railroad track with trains that run consistently so noise could be a problem, but I somehow found it didn't disturb me at all. Kumar is wonderful and went out of his way to make us comfortable. Excellent customer service that is so rare today!! If your looking for a place to just lay your head at night after running around all day this is the place for you.

While landing at the Giddings airport was not part of my original flight plan, Kumar saved the day.

FYI, forget Uber or Lyft as an option for travel if you ever end up in Giddings after dark with no car.

Going down the list of hotels in Giddings got me to the Budget Inn. Needing a ride from the airport to any hotel for the night , Kumar happened to be the only sole to answer the phone (luckily for me).

He came to the airport 3.5 miles from the hotel and picked me up.
Recommended a Steakhouse within walking distance from the hotel which I tried and was great.Kumar set me up in a warm basic room which had a comfortable mattress and pillows.

There is a train track that gets some action around 3:am (earplugs recommended)

The next morning he was kind enough to take me back to the airport. And when we found the plane was covered with frost he gave me his windshield squeegee and stayed with me while I got the plane cleaned up for flight.

Absolutely above and beyond 5 STARS for customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dirty beds unwashed came off the road for some rest to be disappointed in a stinky dirty feet smelling room im sure if u take a black flashlight would see something els. I have blankets in truck to put down prior my rest an pales reat

The motel it self was good. The floor could be cleaned much better. A/C kept the room cold and was pretty quiet. The staff was way more helpful then you would think. The internet coverage at the motel was good but see below. We might stay here again if need to. All in all we liked our stay here.
The bad things here is something the motel staff have no control over.
1. The water pressure in Giddings is poor. Other business confirmed this.
2. Slow internet service. Slow everywhere in the city. Two other business in town we tried the service was slow.
3. Train. The motel is near a train track. Trains come through all night.
Like is said the bad things in this review are things the motel has NO CONTROL over.
PS. The Santa Fe Steakhouse is really good and not that expensive.

Refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and satellite TV. Better amenities than I got from the Bellagio in Vegas. $15 bucks for a cup of coffee!
We were just looking for a place to stay a night with our 2 dogs. They were VERY hospitable. And, Reba's restaurant is right next door. Great food and great stay.

I’m riding my bicycle across America and stayed here with my cat. I’ve been to so many hotel/motels and this place is excellent. The people who run the place are so committed to the business that it’s really a cool place to stay.

When Rockdale was full up, the nice folks at Budget Inn in Giddings had cleaner rooms, lower pricing, and they could accommodate parking for my pickup with a 10 foot trailer. Their parking lot is well-lit and they can see if any shenanigans are going on from their office. It is a budget motel, don't get me wrong, but I stay at a lot of budget motels, and this one is a winner.

If you are a light sleeper, this motel is not for you. It’s located right by the railroad tracks. The train ran all night, at least every hour until about 4:00 a.m. Our room was upstairs closest to the highway and you could hear the cars all night as well. The room could have been cleaner but was decent for the price. The bathroom floor plan was very odd. Bathroom was long and skinny. Not much room between the shower and the wall.
