A Wonderful Surprise!

This was our first glamping experience, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place—it has truly set the bar high. The room amenities, hot tub, stunning views, and peaceful forested surroundings, complete with a nearby stream, created a perfect romantic retreat.

Our hosts were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist if needed. The thoughtful little touches, like snacks waiting for us and ice for our drinks, made the stay even more special.

We’d love to return!

Tip for Atlanta travelers: It’s just a scenic two-hour drive away.

Skip & Rhonda were the best hosts. Very thoughtful and saw to our every need. We enjoyed an exquisite meal and awesome massage on the property. We came to the Destination for our Valentine’s getaway and we are hooked. I Highly recommend this tranquil beautiful resort. we plan to come back again for our anniversary.

This was the most amazing glamp!!! It was absolutely perfect. Skip and Rhonda were wonderful as they met us at our glamp on Thanksgiving Day! Even invited us to join in their Thanksgiving dinner. Everything you need is right there at your fingertips!! They did not leave out a single detail even fresh ground coffee beans! The hot tub was amazing, the water access was beautiful. Overall this is a 100/10 in our book!! Don’t book anywhere else but with Skip and Rhonda at Destination Resort!!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!!

We stayed in the music loft for a girls trip. From start to finish the experience was perfect. We had booked an air bnb at another location that wasn't available so we were referred to Destination Resorts and Skip answered the phone right away to help us get booked. We were met promptly upon arrival and given a full tour of the glamp and property. The glamp was equipped with everything we needed for a weekend away. Beds were SO comfy. Shower was huge and stayed warm through 4 girl showers. The hot tub was clean and outdoor space well maintained. As far as location, its about 10 minutes away from the little downtown area. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast at Two Ghosts which was fantastic. We checked out Hodges winery which was about a 20 minute ride (free wine tasting) and also hiked the beautiful James M Scott Alpine Trail which was a 4ish mile loop overlooking the lake. Upon returning to the glamp, skip made sure the heat for our water was plugged in and we had extra towels to dry off the dogs. He was very responsive, kind and we felt very safe during our stay. We would recommend this glamping experience and hope to stay again some day!

This weekend was my 2nd stay at The Destination. It was as perfect this time as it was the first time. Skip and Rhonda have truly thought of everything when they outfitted the Glamps. The furnishings, finishes and decor are all luxurious and comfortable. The property is also gorgeous and peaceful. But the best part is that Skip and Rhonda are the most gracious, fun hosts. We’ll be back!

We stayed at the lodge and the creek is right behind there and it was wonderful to hear the water just by opening the doors to the porch. It's very private and way off the road with lots of trails to walk. This was part of a women's wellness retreat and were treated to a massage, foot detox treatment, yoga and wonderful food. The owners, Skip and Rhonda are wonderful people and it was a great and relaxing time for me.

Destination Resort exceeded all our expectations! The Glamps were far more luxurious than we anticipated, each thoughtfully designed with unique themes reflecting the owners' personal experiences. We stayed in the Clearwater Glamp (inspired by Florida), while our friends enjoyed the Music Loft (Nashville theme). Both units were equipped with modern comforts, including heating and AC, cozy beds, spacious bathrooms with large showers, and expansive decks featuring a fire pit, grill, and covered dining area. Each glamp offered complete privacy, nestled among the trees with stunning river views. We also indulged in a gourmet Italian dinner prepared and served by Skip and Rhonda—an unforgettable, first-class experience from start to finish.

We stayed in the Clearwater and it is amazing! Lots of space for a girls weekend, huge bathroom, an incredible deck, and nice walks to the stream. Skip and Rhonda are incredible hosts and create a beautiful experience (instead of just a stay). They are ready to help with anything you need and are thoughtful in everything they offer. The wine cellar dinner is a MUST. Do yourself a favor and BOOK NOW!
