Laurine is a splendid employee... When I arrived, she welcomed me to the store. And if I had any questions to please feel free to find her and ask her, she will be more than gladly to help me. So I went on. I said thank you. I'm good so...... when I come to check out, she asked me if I found everything okay. I said yes, I did, ma'am. Thank you, and then I preceded to put my Items up on the counter to pay for them and my milk would be out of date by 2 days. So she gave me a gallon of milk for free, and I bought the other one of course wasn't going to get everything for free. But the gesture of kindness I felt very strong from Laurine she did a very Awesome job at making me feel at home. Thank you very much 4 having such a good worker. She only said she just wanted to do the right thing, and she did instead of throwing it away she gave it to somebody who might need it, I love milk. Thank you very much, made my day. Definitely, gonna help my nails grow and my hair. I will definitely be back to visit Lorraine. Thank you, lizzie

The manager here is astounding. Her kindness is unmatched. My family passes the dollar general by our house just to come to this one because it's so well kept and better due to her stewardship. I hope Dollar General knows how lucky they are to have her there.

Dollar General is ok for the convenience factor and even at that it's getting to be iffy. Dollar General used to be a pretty decent little store, but as with so many other things it's gone by the way side. The prices are not even close to as affordable as they used to be. And the way they expect their staff to stock all the shelves while simultaneously running the cash register is just insane, as most of the time there is only one maybe two employees on duty. So that ends up coming back to the customer, because A. the isles are just ridiculously stacked with boxes of products destined for the shelves. And B. a lot of the shelves are generally bare because the employees simply do not have time to do everything expected of them.

The manager is amazing. She is polite, friendly, and very helpful. An elderly man came in today while I was there and asked what the difference was in a product and which was the best value. She went into full detail explaining different products. He thanked her for her help and mentioned his wife recently passed away - that she did all of the shopping and he didn't know how to shop. He remembered her from the last time she had helped him and gave her a nice compliment on her professionalism. All of her employees are amazing and the store is always clean. The best DG I have ever shopped at. How all stores should be!

This is my go to dollar store when I am in need of just about anything. Since the new management came on board it is a pleasant shopping experience. This location is by far the best one in Ocean Springs. It is always clean and tidy.. You are always greeted with a smile no matter what. Employees are always pleasant & eager to help or answer any questions you may have. All other locations can learn from the people here on how to be pleasant & do your job properly. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! 😊

Wasn't the best Dollar general I've ever been to they had a decent selection I took a few stars away because the cashier just now was pretty rude and rolled his eyes at me. They have glass up by the registers and it's not near enough room to fit your products through. I realize this is for their protection but don't get an attitude with the customer about it when they try to hand you a large item to scan.
