Last year, I filed a child support application with them, nothing has been petitioned as of now.
Trying to reach someone is a task itself, the phone lines are always busy.

I never had these amount of issues when I lived in Calhoun County, their Human Resources department was much better.

Daphne that answered the phone is the most hateful human I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Right away had an attitude when I asked a simple question. You guys really need to let someone answer that doesn’t hate their job so much. It makes the whole department look bad.

I mentally and physically disabled I don't have any parents I don't have anyone I can ask my questions and I reached my wits and because my foundation was snatched out from under me I don't have many resources but I do believe that DHR is covering up some resources

I didn't know what to do, I called the Gadsden Police and told them I had no money for food. The next thing I know a social worker purchased food and delivered it to my home when I ran out of my inheretance and had no money for a couple of months until I started receiving my monthly retirement checks. The social worker brought me a healthy variety of food, a really great social worker. I receive monthly SNAP food stamps monthly, thank you DHR I am so blessed.

Literally do not care about people with children that work full time and still can’t make ends meet. Will not return a call or email, so don’t even try. Been trying to communicate with them for 2 months about an issue that’s still not resolved. The lady at the window is RUDE. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

Completely unprofessional and untimely. They messed up my recertification and I didn't even get my monthly allotment like I have before. Supposed to get it in the beginning of the month but I haven't gotten anything since last month and whoever my caseworker was didn't call me for a phone interview until a FEW DAYS ago. Keep in mind, my girlfriend and I keep track of all the documents they send and all I send - she looks at the dates and deadlines, I send them out FIRST THING! No notice of when I should expect a call for an interview, I was LUCKY to have been off when they finally called almost A MONTH after they were supposed to. Hire new staff. This is getting ridiculous!

The employee’s are not friendly at all.
They give off the type of vibe that they hate their job and are super judgy. Hate having to go here to be honest. I’m grateful for the help don’t get me wrong … but 👎🏻
EDIT TO ADD That lady that gives you the number to be called has been very pleasant and nice to talk with lately.. gotta give credit where credits due. 🤷🏼‍♀️💜

Receptionist is so rude. I should know whom my case worker is. It is written on every document I receive. She transferred me to someone I never heard of because she supposedly handles the "T's". Transfer me to the person I ask for, simple!
