I brought my son in that had been sick for 2 weeks. My son was mainly complaining with sore tongue and ear pain.
But I told doc he has had Sore throat, ear ache, cough, sore tongue and terrible congestion, fever and body aches. Had Been around ppl with flu all week And exposed to Covid. They Did not test him for anything. Doctor offered no advice not even over the counter meds to help with cough, ear pain. Even when I asked can you tell me anything that might help. He said give it more time, I do not like to get meds if we don’t have to.
Welll sir, I don’t like to give my kids medicine but sometimes they need them!
When I finally decide to come to the doctor I come in bc I need help. I can come up with better advice than that on my own. I’m willing for no meds if you can tell me something to ease my child’s pain. I had to convince him for days to finally get him to miss school and work both to come. When he was up all night in pain he finally agreed to come only to be told- let’s give it more time. What a waste of time and my $134. I was going to swap my kids to your office due to convince in travel. But now i will drive the hour to Chattanooga to be seen and actually told something to help my child. Who is by the way still sick! Coughing and blowing nose all night for over 3 weeks now!!

Everyone was amazing. Mercedes was helpful and sweet, the nurse who tested my daughter was great with her especially while she was scared. The doctor was great also. My daughter has the flu but is also really scared of going to the doctor and he talked her through it while using her stuffed animal to demonstrate. We ended up transferring to Fort Payne peds after this experience

My review is based on billing alone. The providers we have seen have been helpful and nice. I feel they genuinely care about kids. However, their billing department has been an absolute nightmare. We initially switched from the practice we were with in Huntsville, but upon our experience within the last few months and now today, I would rather be put out by a drive than to deal with their billing again. We have a deductible plan. They have wanted to collect $30 up front for a sick visit, even before filing it with insurance if we have met our deductible. They've asked about our balance, which we didn't know we had one because we have not received a bill at all (maybe one in the 9 months we have been patients here.) One time, we got our EOB before we had to make another sick visit and my husband had to tell them what we owed. Today, I was made aware of a balance from January 24 that just popped up. Have not gotten a bill yet because it had just popped up, so of course I was not aware of it. I paid it and the $30 fee for all three of my kids today (so $90 total plus $116 for previous balance). They handed me an updated office policy and financial policy paper to review and sign. According to them, if you have a deductible plan and deductible has not been met, you would have to pay $130 deposit in order to be seen by the physician. I had three kids sick so that would have been $390 I would have had to pay before they could been if that policy had been in effect for today's visit. I called the billing department to verify that this was true and the lady I spoke to confirmed that it was. So, if you have multiple children sick at once, you are going to be required to spend a whole lot of money that you weren't planning on before they even send it through insurance. So, we will be looking for different practices based on this billing policy and department alone.

Everyone is always so nice and helpful! Especially Mercedes! Anytime we need anything I know to go directly to her! She is always ready to help and answer questions. I see her go above and beyond for anyone and everyone with a smile on her face! The providers are thorough, nice, and I wouldn’t take my kid anywhere else!
