Took my daughter to er for xray of possible broken finger stayed in triage 2 hrs waiting while my baby cried in pain. Had to walk up to the desk and ASK for ice and pain killer for her and only got ice....no pain killer Tylenol nothing.... Waited another 45 min after that just to find out the all the beds were full and that would be our "room" for now. Finally got the dr attention after walking back and forth for another 30min for xray. If i hadn't gone with the nurse to see the results myself i would not have gotten an answer because i was told to wait for the dr after she got her xray done. I waited another 30 mins n just decided to leave got my baby some Tylenol and a ice pack and monitored her myself 🙄

NEVER take your loved one here. My son was taken to the ER last week suffering from a psychotic break. They run blood test which showed infection and other things were abnormal. He had a raging case of the flu!!! THC was the only thing that reflected on his drug screen. They treated him as a substance abuser and released him without further testing to find the cause of his blood work being off even after he asked the nurse TWICE to be admitted. The doctor on call refused TWICE. On his discharge papers the nurse put patient requested to be released but in her notes she went into detail covering the fact he asked to be admitted.
It's terrifying to know there are people working at that hospital that do not know the difference between a psychotic break and substance abuse. Half the people in this county indulge in the herb. Would they dismiss higher ups as substance abusers when only THC showed up with their blood work being abnormal?I think not!!! I am livid and will be taking this to the next level reporting them.
For the record THC doesn't cause people to act in the manner he was. They noted he was calm and nothing in their notes reflected substance abuse!! This is totally unacceptable behavior from the Dr on call on down. I want someone's job for this massive cluster!!!

I am not going to lie I hate going to the ER I have an autoimmune disease. So really there is not a lot they can do or will do for me. Well yesterday I broke down and went. I'm 4 hours away from home so I went to the closes one. I have a head for a few days and couldn't get rid of it. I was pleasantly surprised they still treated me. Everyone was wonderful. Thanks guys but I hope not to have see you again.

My grandmother had a diagnosis of leukemia in the report of a CT on January 19, 2018 at this hospital. However, she nor my grandfather were told of this. The doctor (Dr. Al-Abbadi) told her she has acid re flux and was given a GI cocktail before being sent her home. She continued to suffer and on March 6, 2018 she was sent to Mobile where she was told of her leukemia. She passed on March 25, 2018. She could have started treatments in January instead of in March if the doctors had actually been doing their job. She may or may not have lived until now but I know she would not have suffered the way she did had Grove Hill Memorial Hospital done their job. The only reason I gave one star is because I had to in order to post this. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone.

I was born here and my grandma was a nurse here until she retired. Now I'm the mayor of a town five hours away. But as of this writing, I'm settling down to sleep in the parking lot because they wouldn't let me use a chair, and also limit overnight visitors to 1. So it's either kick my mom out while her mom's dying , or this.

Silver lining: the first time I was at this hospital I was naked and didn't know English, so this is better.

You would be much better off going to see Dr Sellers at the Clarke County Animal Hospital than to go to this band aid station. My grandmother who is 88 years old and has extremely bad dementia fell yesterday morning, and was taken by ambulance to Grove Hill Hospital's new multi million dollar emergency room. She is unable to walk after her fall, and her speech is somewhat slurred due to the fact that I believe she had a small stroke before she fell. They took a few x-rays and after waiting approximately 3 hours for results, they determined that no bones were broken. No CT scan to see if she actually had a stroke or anything. They wheeled her out and said to take her home. Twenty four hours of pure hell later, she is headed to Mobile Infirmary where they have trained doctors on staff (not just borrowed doctors from other places). Maybe instead of spending all of the money to make the Grove Hill ER look better, they should have spent some money on getting a doctor or two and someone that actually knows how to run a hospital.

Every time I’m here everyone is really friendly BUT when there is a script that need to be called in, it’s hardly ever done I have to call back to remind them to do so. This is really annoying especially on a Friday when the clinic closes early and I have to wait until Monday for myself or my child’s medicine. You all have to do better!
