Never in my life have I ever felt the need to leave a review for a utility company. My husband and I bought a house in Helena 3 months ago. In that time the water main in our area has broken twice leaving the house without water. I have never dealt with anything like this. Has there been no upgrades ever? Is the piping done so poorly that they can’t handle a small neighborhood? Where are the tax dollars going?
The water department needs a complete overhaul as well as the towns water system.

Addition: the original review was done in May 2024. It is now June 7th 2024 and ANOTHER water main has broken on my street. This is NOT acceptable. We pay for a service. People have JOBS and lives and one thing they should be able to rely on is having water at their houses when they are paying for it. Helena needs to get it together and update the infrastructure of this town.

Update : it is now two days before Thanksgiving and again another water pipe on the street has broken. And we yet again have no water.

From the very first time, I called to check on having our water continued in our home after we bought it to the time I went in and did that they have been nothing but professional and kind. They are five star in my book!

Business is run like it's 1995! Extremely inefficient company when it comes to billing. Does not offer customer friendly solutions, such as e-statements, online billing. Have had issues with bills not being delivered on time due to small postcard statements that are easily lost or misplaced in the mail, yet the company refuses to address these issues. If only there was a competitor, I would switch services.

The director is extremely petty and childish. He specifically said that he didn't care when a water leak was reported. How can these people be trusted to run anything in our town. Zero confidence in his competence.

We have talked to Helena Utilities about our water bill arriving late to our home. Then they charge a late fee, they are steeling from us and others. They are taking advantage of our community.

Called multiple times regarding a leak in their water lines in front of my house. Months have passed and nothing has been done. It's turning a huge spot in the front of my yard into a mud pit. Fix your lines!
