I was very reluctant at first to even talk to IDS representatives as I assumed this was another sales call that would not be worth my time. I am very happy that I took the time to talk to them.

While I had good teachers along the way in my construction experience, I didn’t really have any mentors in starting and running a business. In my 17 years of owning my business it has been a very difficult evolution through trial and error.

Sometimes it takes fresh eyes to get a better perspective on things. That in conjunction with the vast collective resources that IDS has at its disposal has given me a new sense of confidence. While it is a little humbling at times, the review of inefficiencies and opportunities in conjunction with better tools, analysis, and procedures has shown me a clearer path forward.

We have been in business for 18 years and built our food distribution business with great products and hard work. However, we were completely unorganized financially and did not have a strategic plan for growth. A representative came in and did a full day analysis to determine if their services could bring value. After a short presentation I decided to take it to the next level, having a team come in to do a deep dive on our finances and learn more about our business and opportunities. Only after this step was I required to make a financial commitment, which I did.
For the next 8 days a consultant worked directly with us ( we are a small family business with just 3 full time employees and two part time) to completely revamp how we manage our finances. We came away with the ability to accurately forecast sales, AP and make accurate budgeting decisions. We also have a strategic sales growth plan, a plan for addressing overdue AR and the skills necessary to continue developing proactive projects to keep our business growing.
The service is not cheap, but the value proposition is more than worth the investment. I will definitely bring Intl Development Services back to consult on an ongoing basis.

We at HM Brandt recognized our need for outside professional guidance as we had been going through an intense period of growth & transition in our company. We were recommended IDS by fellow business owners in our circle, however, we were still reluctant at first to jump into the process. Over a short period of time we had a whirlwind of meeting with several of their team members which, to be honest, was a bit overwhelming. It is also a big commitment due to the cost associated. Mark really went above & beyond to work around our busy schedules & still progress the project forward. It has been apparent since day one that he really cares about his clients & wants to see them succeed.

We will miss having Mark’s steady presence around & do value the knowledge he imparted to our team. It is an investment, & for a small business, very expensive, but I hope we will look back at this moment as a turning point. We also plan to have Mark back in the future for additional work which we look forward to.
