They do not answer calls at 4234300 but letters advise you to call if any issues and failure to, confirm denial. I called twice in the same day and spent over 8 hours trying to reach someone and spoke to no one about my matters.

Update: they barely have any workers but everyone is nice and professional.

I was at a rehab my fdstmp was moved here, I've been trying to shut off my fdstmp since Nov and I can't get them elsewhere because them. Also they are fwd my fdstmp to another person card and won't stop Frauding me but nothing happens. What do you do.?

Always talking about the gross income, why not net ? We dont get to see our gross income. We damn near out here struggling and yall act like yall cant help nobody. What i gotta do sit on my ass and not work. This is crazy. Then to say yall dont look at the rent and utilities we have to pay but yet ask us to list them on the application and send our lease i just dont understand

they want you to be starving before you can actually get anything. I was told I was denied because I make too much as a single household which the cut off is 1580. To calculate how much you make they use before take home pay which is absolutely ridiculous since you don’t get that number to take with you. Always are rude as well and it took them longer than the 10 days to review my case. Which I emailed the pays stub to submit them on the 18th. they reviews it 13-14 days later and tried to argue with me on what days I actually submitted it which I went back on a later date to submit it online since I saw no change in my case after emailing it which they replied for my case number but nothing after that and even re emailed the whole thing a few days before I submitted it online. they do not care about helping actual people in need. I’m now starting school full time which i’m paying for myself alone with all of my other 8 bills I pay and am left with little to no money after each and every check and you would think the government would actually help people who are in need.

This is the most unorganized and unproductive office I have ever dealt with. They don't answer the phone or return calls. In the past I was able to get through by email but not phone. Appointment letters almost always come in the mail after the scheduled appointment date and the call usually shows up on caller ID as unavailable so it's easy to miss your appointment. I'm due for a six month report but never received anything in the mail. I've been told before that they will discontinue doing the six month report but my benefits were not added to my card this month. The recent 5 star review looks like an employee and fake review bc the reality is far different. I don't know if it's a lack of funding, poor management or they are understaffed but this has been an ongoing problem for a long time and needs to be fixed!

This place is so slow with getting back to you. My EBT was cut off earlier this year and I haven’t had enough money to get foods. I brought my application back a week after January ended. Still no EBT, still no interview call back so I will call them this morning. This place affects all ages I’ve been getting EBT since I was 18/19 and I’m 21 now. I’ve even lost a good 9 pounds from not being able to eat and on top of that is a broke college student. Thanks for having people starve & have no food for their families! I bet they all go home and have a blessed dinner and many snacks to nourish them with disregard for the citizens around them. Unprofessional, lack of care and downright disrespectful. Hotline isn’t all that nice either.

I sometimes work security here at different positions. The workers are great in my opinion. They speak and are courteous to a low paid service worker such as myself. Working the employee parking entrance and building entrance below is great. Working the front desk directing people where to go is stressful sometimes. Just as some are dissatisfied with the employees here, in rare instances we have problems with a few obnoxious people. There are complaints about not being able to get in before opening at eight or the closing at 4:30 pm. There are some things that could be done to help people to get their paperwork into the Dropbox that is located in the lobby. And there should be a way to help people with disabilities to get to the caseworkers. The office is on the seventh floor. There are some easy solutions but the rules interfere in helping people such as not being able to give them an ink pen, tape, or something else to keep their paperwork together. To get those items they have to take the elevator, which is along way away, up to the seventh floor. Or they have to go to their vehicle or outside. However, the mail room people who pick up the papers are terrific. They do what they can to correct mistakes that have been made in order not to return incorrect applications back to the applicants. Also they keep the papers together unbeknownst to the applicants. Nevertheless this is a government office and rules are rules. But I must say that the vast majority of people seeking assistance are wonderful and so are the workers that I interact with. I would say the government is the culprit not the workers. Again, the employees have to follow the rules just as we security people do.

If I could give 0 stars I would. No one answers the phone. Even if you file electronically it gets screwed up. Received 2 different forms saying they received my applications one week from each other. Website still shows wrong information in their system. Mailed incorrect application to me. 3 weeks of waiting is rediculous and you can't get any answers from them directly unless you can afford to miss work which I already can't do or I wouldn't be needing assistance to start with. They either need to hire more employees to handle case loads or allow another city to take over. Like the rest of this city this place is a joke!!
