Great little country hospital...they've saved my accident prone husband more than a time or two! The doctors and nurses have all had the best attitudes, and they're always willing to work on ya even when you may not have the cash to cover the entire costs.

They've just opened their new sleep study lab, and we're looking forward to taking advantage of that opportunity close to home (and considerably more affordable).

We owe this hospital much gratitude, and I'm thankful they're there to service our rural community!

...but the picture with this listing is definitely not Lake Martin Community Hospital.

Pure junk. Fell and I injured my back. I came in serious pain. The Close Cut Female with Tats everywhere at the front desk was standoffish with me. Not one ounce of compassion. They stated that they had people waiting in cars. Went outside and not one person was in a car in the small parking lot. No Triage, but people were just walking around. They would not even take my blood pressure or even send me for X Ray. Very bad experience. I left without being seen. Heading to a Real Hospital. Beware of this place.

The hospital staff the nurses, LPN and, information center was kind. They are taking care of my uncle in room 225. When you ask for assistance they will help you friendly every time. They take out the time to answer all your questions with patients. They made my uncle comfortable. I ask them them for and extra pillows, so my uncle left neck be supported. They gave me a pillow no questions ask and said i was welcome . I ask for some ice personally for myself . I receive ice with a you are welcome. Thanks again Lake Martin Hospital you all are outstanding and generous.

On 7/21/22 taken by ambulance to dadeville ER with a nasal hemorrhage. So much blood. The ER nurse was amazing. Dr. Gerhling was sadly lacking. I informed them I had trigeminal Neuralgia, and they put this contraption on my nose to try and stop the bleeding that caused me so much pain. Unconcerned and unable to stop the bleeding they were going to transfer me to Birmingham, but said they may not take me. Since the hospital was an 1 1/2 hour in the other direction from my home in Ga, I had my husband drive me back home to our hospital in Newnan, with a tampon up my nose, that continued to seep. The doctor in Newnan, immediately drew, my blood and found my blood sugar to be almost 500. A medical emergency. The ENT was shocked that the "equipment" they used was inappropriate for the bleed I was having. Thankfully, the Dr being so uncaring helped saved my life. The two stars is for the amazing male nurse and I'm so sorry I do not have his name and it's not on the provider list. I get it, I looked as if I were a brat with a nose bleed taking up their TV time. I did have a nose bleed, 30 minutes before the hemorrhage started. That we were able to stop. When the ENT pulled the tampon out, the size of the clot was so huge, she said she could tell the bleed was huge. 20 years living part time in dadeville and I'd never so much as needed to go to urgent care.

I came to your ER on September 28th and I am amazed at how well the ER staff worked. I had oxygen level between 67 and 75%. They worked so seamlessly and they put me on oxygen right away. They checked me for covid, I was positive.

I had been to RMC 2 times in 3 weeks. They never put me on oxygen. They did however put me on something that monitored my oxygen level and it would alarm when it went down. My husband and I watched it go below 80 several times and they not once put me on oxygen.

I was put in the hospital 09-28-22 and I went home 10-03-22. The Dr's, nurse practitioners, nurses and patient care assistant, were all great. I have awful anxiety from having a stroke and I am almost blind and I can't stand to be by myself anymore. They were (all) so considerate to my needs.

I had my favorite, his name is Scott and he really knows what he is doing. He talked me down off the ledge several times. I'm telling you, you have a good one in Scott, so you better hold on to him. I can't thank him enough for the compassion and care that he had shown me.

I just thank the Good Lord that I found you. Lake Martin Community Hospital cause I could have died going to RMC.
I PUT IN MY HEAD, THAT I WAS GOING TO (LMCH) IF I EVER HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AGAIN.
Too many has computers have taken over. The computers can't listen to you breath or give you a light touch, to settle you down. (It is called patient contact)! And I felt that from each and every one you and I will love you forever ❤.

Sincerely
Donna Hill

P. S. keep up the good work !!!!

This is a very small rural hospital, with a very small medical staff and very limited resources. The Doctor who I saw was very informative, thorough and knowledgable. I felt like I was in good hands! I only waited for 2 hours as opposed to the 6+ hours I would have waited at EAMC! That is the shortest wait I have EVER had at ANY emergency room, and I have lived in 3 different states, many cities/towns and I have visited several ER's in my lifetime for various reasons! I felt my wait-time at LMCH was reasonable considering there was only one RN and one Doctor treating 3 different patients and one of those patients had to be life flighted to Birmingham (without hesitation)! Yes...they have a helicopter landing pad for major medical emergencies! Their genuine concern is doing the best they can do for their patients, with the limited resources that they have! I was very impressed and I left feeling better than when I first got there...I mean, after all, that is the reason for going to the ER to begin with, right?

The avatar (photo of the hospital) that someone decided to use is "stock" imagery and is not a photograph of the hospital...in fact, it's not a photo at all, it's a drawing! That photo never concerned me! I don't feel the image was used to "lure people in" deceptively! It is just a generic photograph used as an avatar...nothing more, nothing less! I took a photograph of the hospital, that I decided to share, for those who want to see what the hospital looks like!

NOTE: There is a pharmacy located in front of the hospital, though I do not recall the name of the pharmacy or the hours of operation?

Horrible, worst hospital every, doctor wouldn't take x-rays or even looked at my body. It was obvious he knew the person in the next bed and did an full exam on them but did not even do an assessment on me, was told to go to regular doctor who he works in office with and when I went over there they refused to see me since I was just in the er.... went to a different hospital who immediately did an MRI, found ruptured disk in my back and this was why I had extreme pain and numbness in my leg...this could have paralyzed me, changed my life forever, do not Please do not waste your time and insurance money on this place
