We worked with Jessica Walter from Saratoga Homes on our dream house in Morningstar community. She’s fantastic and someone who can be trusted to keep your best interests in mind while helping you along every step of the way. The entire team at Saratoga is amazing including William (construction manager)who is always present and extremely patient and helpful. We’ve loved our entire home buying experience and can’t wait to raise our family in this thriving community 😊

We rent a brand new Meritage home in the Morningstar community. The community is pretty, well maintained and family friendly. My complaint is neighbors leave their dogs outside ALL day and let them bark for hours, which is not work from home friendly, and super frustrating when you're trying to concentrate, or just get some peace and quiet after a long day.

We also have neighbors who will leave their trash cans out for days, most recently one full week (we saw them come and go plenty so they weren't away) and we have seen 1 roach on our block.

The Meritage home is ok - not well built, but that is expected with a lower-end new build (ex: towel rack drilled into the wall with no studs, fell out of the wall leaving a big hole as soon as we moved in, piping goes into a kitchen cabinet leaving a lot less space to store things, window screens aren't fitted right so bugs come in the sides, lots of space under the exterior doors/not sealed and bugs get in, etc.) Overall it's fine for a 1 year rental but we don't plan to look to buy in the community.

Our experience with Meritage homes did not start off well at all. It has taken well over three years to have warranty work completed on our home. They have gone through several supervisors whom all have been terrible with customer service and communication. However, I'd like to acknowledge Jeff and his exceptional customer service and communication with us. He completed everything we needed in a short amount of time and followed up with us. He is a really great asset to have with Morningstar and I hope hell stick around to continue to help the community.
