Nice quiet surroundings. At the pool your view is of the hills. Very pretty. They keep the grounds clean and trim. Easy to get your steps in daily. Our condo had nice furnishings and will soon need a perkier paint job. Sheets and towels were nice and soft.

One disappointment was the birds nest above the window and spider webs outside the window and doors.

Santa Rita Ranch has so much to offer! With excellent amenities, recreational activities, and an LHISD elementary and middle school within the community, this master-planned community is a great option for those looking to move out of Austin into the suburbs.

*Edited Again 11/19/2024:
Our HOA dues are going up once again. While the flashy new amenities are nice, the constant increases are unjustified given the immense number of homes that are constantly being added to the community. We bought under the pretense that the community would be given representation in the HOA after a certain percentage of development had been reached. It seems as though we were given false hope that representation would ever be possible as every time we near that figure, more construction and development is announced. And on top of all of this, you’ll have to pay additional fees just to access the amenities if you ever need to get your wristbands or key fobs replaced. But hey, the new watchtower on 29 and Ronald Reagan is cool, I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

While I love our home, the neighborhood itself leaves much to be desired. We’re about to see yet another large increase in monthly HOA dues with nothing to show for it aside from overcrowded and constantly closed amenities and planned events that are not able to accommodate the number of people that live here. Along with that, there is no transparency with how our HOA dues are being handled/spent to justify a 33% increase after we had nearly a 25% increase the year prior. If I could do it over, I would have picked a different neighborhood.

**Edited following the response below: there haven’t been any new amenities added that are for the use of the majority of the residents. Along with that, the majority of our “amenities” are not available to be used/rented by residents. If you’re considering buying in SRR, talk to the residents that live here first.
