I had been meaning to try this place as I have seen it while in town, so I was excited when a friend said she placed an order and asked if I also wanted to. I got the seafood platter with two sides. The catfish was under seasoned. The shrimp was partially battered and not crispy. The fries were soggy, and the peach cobbler was placed inside with the fish and was also soggy. I understand that because it was a side it wasn't placed in a separate container. It's a very cute place inside with a large assortment of pastries, and friendly staff, but the food was underwhelming at best. My friend said her green beans and mac and cheese were seasoned well.

My wife and I stopped here and ate lunch on our way back from Ridgeland Mississippi. We initially stopped at Murphy USA to get gas. I asked a gentleman that was already there where a good place in town to eat was. He highly recommended this restaurant and bakery. We figured since it was so highly rated by a local that we had to at least give it a shot. Boy are we glad we did! Everything was fantastic the food, the service, the atmosphere, you really can't go wrong. I have tried really hard to think of one negative thing I could possibly say about this place. I just simply cannot. It was phenomenal in every aspect of the word. We had a lovely conversation with the owner and she was just as lovely as the conversation that we had. You can tell that she truly puts her heart and soul into the place. I highly recommend trying anything there. You really can't go wrong with whatever you get it will be delicious!

I was passing through Demopolis today with my son and saw this quaint looking bakery and eatery. So, why not try it out? As we entered, to the right, it was really nicely decorated with a lot of unique decorative items for sale - towels, dishes, shirts, etc. To the left, a decent line had started to purchase lunch. While waiting in line, you had an opportunity to shop for take-out food items, which included a variety of cakes, jellies, cookies, breads, then freezer items -- pimento cheeses, chicken salad, dressing... so much to choose from. The lunch selections themselves were limited, though, with fried catfish being the star and a number of veggies. Not bug on catfish, I chose a couple of vegetables. Corn and green beans with a role and peach Cobbler. Of the 3 items, the Cobbler was the best thing going. My son says he enjoyed his fish and veggies. So overall, it was a good find.

A really top quality "country feel". Sure, it's cafeteria style but the food is top notch, service is friendly and fast and the dining area is roomy with just enough country feel to make ya feel at home. We were there with friends and we felt comfortable staying awhile with good conversation... these guys did an awesome job for lunch!

Cute little restaurant serving lunch and bakery items. Lunch is served through a cafeteria line, where they have several daily options to choose from. We chose chicken spaghetti and catfish, both which were delicious. We also had peach cobbler, which was a bit heavy on the bread and not many peaches, probably due to it being one of the last servings from the pan. Atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant and the employees were friendly and very prompt to clean up tables. We would return if we are ever back in this area.

So glad we stopped here for lunch. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and the food delicious and reasonably priced. We haven’t had a chance to try the baked goods but they looked delicious. The place is spacious, bathroom was clean, no complaints at all! 5/5

We are camping at Foscue and Simply Delicious was highly recommended to us by other campers. We were very well pleased and will certainly visit again when we are in the area.
