El hotel es muy bonito, las habitaciones cómodas, la ubicación en el centrobdel pueblo es perfecta para salir a comer, ir a museos, etc.
Lo único que pueden mejorar es el servicio, normalmente no había alguien en mostrador, me hospedé una semana y no me hicieron limpieza de habitación ningún día.

It was one of the nicest hotels/inns I have ever stayed in. The rooms are the perfect size to relax. The blankets and comforters are very comfortable. The inn is very unique in decor with its own personality. The high ceilings with huge ceiling fans are a bonus. There are coffee machines at every turn.
Two things I would add... some kind of breakfast, even if just pastries and someone who sits at the desk.

We had a family gathering for a celebration of life. Hotel and restaurant staff were unobtrusive but very helpful as our party made last-minute requests when the weather changed our plans. A very laid-back atmosphere; you are welcome to look after yourself, or someone can be found if you need help. It's an old building - historic - but clean and well maintained. Would love to spend more time in Gonzales and would definitely stay again!

This is a sweet little hotel in a historical building, located a downtown that appears was once a prospering town. The folks at The Dilworth Hotel welcomed us late on a Sunday evening, and as far as we could tell kept the restaurant and the front desk opened until we arrived. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The beds were also comfortable. The historical downtown square was festively lite up at night which gave us a welcoming feeling. |My hope is that this little town continues to get new retail and more businesses so that Texans, and other tourist can enjoy the area, and learn about the important history Gonzales played in the evolution of Texas becoming a state.

I have no idea how this is #1 in Gonzales. During the entire stay, I only saw one other guest in the morning when I was drinking my coffee. Contrary to what their website states, there is no daily housekeeping. In fact, one room was left open and uncleaned the entire time we were there. At one point when I walked past, there was a cleaning cart in there and one of the beds had finally been made. We did not get clean towels or any extra toiletries. I scoped out a closet that had some clean towels and toilet paper rolls. The sheets were paper thin and there were only two sorry pillows. There was NEVER anyone at the front desk to assist. Nobody refilled the water in the keurigs that were in the hallway, so I did it. Also to note, they do not follow their own cancellation policy, which states if you cancel within 48 hours you lose one night's stay. They will keep the entire amount, no matter the reason, and they do not respond to email. We had to beg them to give us the other nights we had reserved and then they only offered credit. Even that wasn't done correctly. The whole place had a weird vibe and the last night we appeared to be the only ones in the entire place. I would never stay there, again.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. It was a nice change from a standard hotel. Enjoyed the old fashioned charm of the building. We had no problems checking in or with our exterior room. It was spacious, bed was soft and both tv and WiFi worked well. We enjoyed the connected restaurant who had the best chocolate cake. It was walking distance to other restaurants including a Mexican cafe and coffee shop. Staff was very kind and professional.

The hotel appears nice. There is no one at the check in desk. You have to call with your arrival time. We had to go to the restaurant and have an employee check us in. The rooms are small but seem comfortable. We found a washcloth under the desk which concerned us somewhat. The next morning when taking a shower, I found a used washcloth behind the shower curtain. We told the employee who checked us in and all she said was “okay”. The service we booked through tried to contact the hotel but they would not respond. This was a disappointing stay. I expect a hotel to be cleaned after each guest.

Second vist. Excellant, Historic hotel. Spotlessly clean. Very spacious rooms. Efficient staff. Would highly recommend when visiting Gonzales. An Italian restaurant is attached to hotel, worth a visit. |Has two bar/ restaurants around town square and lots of variousxeateries during the day. All within walking distance. Also the Gonzales museum is near by to walk yo.
